I was born in Darlington, co. Durham and am married to John and this year we will be  celebrating 38 years of married life. I have a brother who is 7 years younger than me and lives near Duxford. My father will be 96 this year.

My father changed his job often and so we moved around the country often. Initially to Croydon then Rushden and finally settled near to Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire- famous for its pork pies.

I have had many jobs over the years - nanny, tax office, catering, croupier and lastly had a domestic lighting business with John which we sold in 2000.

We initially bought a holiday home in the Loire valley in 2004 and loved coming over so much, our neighbours made us so welcome, that we decided to move permanently in 2010 bringing with us 2 rescue cats, moving to a larger house not far from Chinon and with lots of rooms and  garden to renovate.

During Covid we then decided to downsize and moved to Lalinde  in 2022.

I spend my time between the garden, when it’s not raining, filling the freezer and I enjoy reading . Also Wordle and sudoku daily.

We have a camping car and travel around France and Spain usually out of season.

Also we are members of a couple of car clubs in France and the and enjoy travelling around Europe in our old cars with like minded friends .
